Tea cultivation, blending, and production are going through an exciting transformation, facing both challenges and opportunities. As one of the most consumed beverages in the world, tea holds a special place in daily rituals across cultures — but its production can have a significant impact on the environment if not managed responsibly. While some large tea brands speak of sustainability, many still fall short of truly regenerative practices. That’s why it’s so important for consumers to make informed choices about the tea they drink.

I’m a big advocate for tea producers who value quality and sustainability — those who source their leaves ethically, support fair labor, and take care of the land that nurtures each plant. To help brands with these values attract more customers, I created a tea packaging concept that’s modern, colourful, and eye-catching, turning the everyday act of making tea into a small but meaningful ritual.
For this project, I embraced a romantic and lively color palette inspired by nature, with hand-drawn textures and detailed illustrations. Each flavour is tied to an environmental theme — Touch the Ground, Feel the Air, Hear the Ocean, See the Wild — and paired with elements that reflect that mood: plants, animals, and patterns drawn from the natural world. The designs are printed on compostable, eco-friendly boxes, so the packaging itself embodies the values it promotes.

By choosing tea from producers who care for both people and the planet, consumers can help encourage more sustainable practices in the industry. Together, we can transform a simple cup of tea into a daily reminder of our connection to the earth — and the small changes that can have a big impact.
Time to put the kettle on!
